A soft strip operation on a six-storey office building. The scope included stripping out 5,080 m² of office space and rooftop plant rooms.
Teams isolated all incoming services and installed temporary utilities on alternating floors. Work involved reducing each floor including the plant rooms to their structural framework. Waste was separated into multiple streams to maximise recycling outcomes. Additional tasks included removing three passenger lifts and installing site perimeter hoarding.
The demolition phase was completed within the initial 10-week timeline. A subsequent development contract, scheduled to begin January 2016, added four floors and created 122 residential apartments.
